Different Light: Art Deco by Day and Night
Due to my obsession with art deco, I toted my camera up and down
Collins Ave. and Ocean Drive. The art deco hotels of South Beach are quite a different experience at night and during the day, as you'll see below. Here are some of my favorites by night and day.

Built in 1935, the Colony Hotel is at 736 Ocean Drive. I think it might be my favorite.
The Avalon is at 700 Ocean Drive and always has the 1950s Oldsmobile with matching color scheme in front.
The Clifton certainly has a different look in the day. It can be found at 1343 Collins Ave.
I like the tiles on the Starlite Hotel and its neon sign. It is at 750 Ocean Drive.
I'm not sure which hotel this is, but it is currently under construction. I do like the geometry and color scheme though.
