Summit Health Philanthropy Videos

1 Min Read

Back in October, I took a trip out to Chambersburg, PA to work on several videos for Summit Health. Summit Health is a non-profit health care system serving Franklin County. The videos will be used for philanthropy and a few will be used in Summit’s “Grateful Patient” program. I interviewed several people for this project, including doctors, patients, a board member, a dietician, and major supporters of Summit Health. I came away thinking that health care in Franklin County is largely a community effort, with everyone chipping in a bit in some way.

This first video is about a local celebrity in Franklin County, named Ed Gotwalt, also known as “Mister Ed.” Mister Ed is the proprietor of Mister Ed’s Elephant Museum & Candy Emporium in Orrtanna, PA. Mister Ed told me about how his collection of elephants began and about his recent stay at Chambersburg Hospital, part of Summit Health system.

This second video is one of the philanthropy videos. It includes several supporters of Summit Health, as well as doctors, patients, and a dietician, who all explain why giving is important to them.

Thanks to Beth Stephey at Summit Health for coordinating all of the interviews and helping to wrangle photos for each video. I produced these videos as a team member at Rich Tolsma Productions.
