The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey is the longest running Shakespeare theater on the east coast. The company holds educational programs and stages full productions to keep the classic works of Shakespeare alive and relevant to modern audiences. Each summer The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey does an outdoor production at The Greek Theatre on the campus of The College of Saint Elizabeth in Morris Township, New Jersey. The Greek Theatre is an amphitheater modeled after the Theatre of Dionysus in Greece. This year The Shakespeare Theatre is performing the comedy Love’s Labour’s Lost. Picnicking is highly encouraged for the outdoor performances.

Jessie North and I went to the College of Saint Elizabeth to meet up with cast members Susan Maris (“Rosaline”) and Jeffrey M. Bender (“Don Armando”) to talk about performing outside and the outdoor stage. Take your picnic blanket and catch Love’s Labour’s Lost before July 26. Jesse and I produced this feature for JerseyArts.com.
